PowerVue is a general purpose electrical engineering software. Suitable for electrical individual electrical contractors and electrical organizations in need of a inexpensive software for use in small to medium size projects.
PowerVue is available as a limited version freeware. Although limited to 5 nodes, the number of branches is not limited. This makes it capable enough for calculating all types of circuits in small projects.
The full unlimited version is also available and priced so low that it is affordable and within reach of all electrical engineers everywhere. The purchase will even be credited towards an upgrade to PowerStar or PowerVue. This version is a full-featured working software. The only reason we can price it so low is because no technical support is provided. We recommend that you install the free version first and order the full version upgrade when you need the additional capability.
What you can do with PowerVue:
- Draw and print single line diagram.
- Calculate voltage drops and branch currents.
- Analyze DC, single phase or three phase circuits.
- Display complete device information includeing node voltages, voltage drops, current, kW, kVA and kVAr flow.
- Evaluate the effects of disconnected devices and branches on the rest of the circuit.
- Calculate three-phase, line to ground, line to line and double line to ground fault. Include motor contribution to fault. Show earth current, fault R/X ratio, RMS and peak fault current.
- Display voltage and current vectors.
- Add to or modify database device classification. Add or modify device database records.
- Highlight devices with overcurrent, kVA/kW overload, over/undervoltage.
- Use graphics to annotate and add legends, title blocks, logos to the single line diagram.
